Time line/Venue Change: Mural Project: Approximately August1 through Sept.31, 2008 I will be painting a large outdoor mural at the Marion St. Green Line CTA Train station in Oak Park,Illinois.This is a commission from the village of Oak Park. Stop on by and say hello.

Thursday, June 12, 2008, 5 - 7 pm at the University Club of Chicago (76 E Monroe St
Chicago, IL (312) 726-2840. corner of Monroe and Michigan) . I'll have about 20 mostly new works for your viewing pleasure. The exhibit is on the 12th floor in the dining room with a lovely terrace and a beautiful view over Grant park and the Art institute. There is a DRESS CODE: NO JEANS! Business Casual to receive entry to the building.

May 2008

I am working on restoring the the 38-foot dome in Preston Bradley Hall a the Chicago Cultural Center.It is thought to be the world's largest Tiffany dome. There should be an article describing the restoration in early July in the Chicago Tribune Magazine.

Feb. 2008

I have a painting in this months (Feb. 2008 )online version of American Artist Magazine. The article is on the Plein Aire Painters of Chicago , a local group I sometimes paint with.

Jan.2008

I made my performance art debut this month playing a minor, but important role in a production at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art. The Performance was "Hey Girl", a production from Italy's Societas Raffaello Sanzio, a cutting edge and notorious theater company often cited as one of the worlds most original performance troupes. This was through the Italian Cultural Institute.

Dec. 2007

I'm exhibiting some of my paintings in December in Lincoln Park at the Holy Covenant Methodist Church, 925 W. Diversey, Chicago, IL. Dec.1st through Jan.. 31st, 2007.

The show is open 9 to 12 AM M - F

Sept. 2007

I have two upcoming shows in Chicago this fall and winter. Oct. 19 at the Palette and Chisel Gallery, 1012 N. Dearborn,Chicago. The opening is Friday, Oct. 19, 5 to 9 pm.

The other is in December in Lincoln Park at the Holy Covenant Methodist Church, 925 W. Diversey, Chicago, IL. Dec.1st through Jan 31st, 2007. The show is open 9 to 12 M - F

Also I will have a major show at the University Club in downtown Chicago in their beautiful downtown penthouse gallery overlooking Grant Park and the Art Institute. Starting June 8, 2008 at 76 East Monroe, downtown Chicago. There is a dress code; so no jeans, at least business casual. Hope to see everyone there.

May 2007
On May 14 I was officially recognized as a dual Italian/U.S. citizen by the government of Italy, something which I had been pursuing for many years.

March 2007
I have two small paintings in the Plein Aire Painters of Chicago group show at the Palette and Chisel gallery at 1012 N. Dearborn Chicago IL 60610, March 2-11.

February 2007
This month I am working on a restoration of a ceiling in the old War Department offices in what is now the Eisenhower Executive Office Building,directly next to the white house. It is an ornately painted Tromp l'oiel ceiling done in 1888. Once completed it will serve as the ceremonial offices for the office of Vice President.

January 2007
I won an honorable mention for my Painting "Winter Coat" in the Palette and Chisels' Gold Medal show In Chicago.
I started painting with the Plein Aire Painters of Chicago group. I'll have some work in their annual group show open Friday, March 2nd at Chicago's, Palette and Chisel Club,6pm ,!012 N. Dearborn

Nov. 2006
I painted a mural inside a cathedral dome at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Harrisburg, PA. Four other artists worked under my supervision. .

June 2006
I received notice that I had been selected as a finalist in a competition to paint an outdoor public mural for the village of Oak Park,IL. I will produce a scale design and will be notified after July 15.There are 3 other finalists. August 2006: Alas! Another artist was chosen.

March and April 2006
Utrecht Art Store Group Show. I'm showing a few paintings at the Utrecht store in Chicago on Michigan Ave. In March three paintings of churches and in April a figure and a still life.

March 2006
I received notice that an upcoming issue of Art Calendar magazine will publish an article I wrote on the making of a Richard Haas designed outdoor mural I worked on in Grand Rapids,MI. during September 2004.The article appeared in the April 2006 issue.

February and March 2006
Started working with Evergreene on the restoration of the decorations in the Schubert theater in downtown Chicago.

Winter 2005
A book I did some illustrations for in The Netherlands was published. The book is a dutch language guide for dutch students planning to study in the US. Published by The Fulbright Center in Amsterdam.

October 2005
Italian landscape painting trip. I'm in Northern Italy with Scott Powers and Wesley Drake. We will be in Lucca, near Florence and the Lake Como Region. To see the paintings click here.

July 2005
Commissioned to design proposal for Texas Wesleyan University Law School building decoration. They saw Tim Luzak and me painting a Richard Haas mural design down the street at the Tarrant County Bar Association Building and asked for a proposal. To see the designs click here.

April 2005 - Designed and built Film set for an Independent short film (“Freak”) shot in the Netherlands for a major Dutch theater event; the 2005 Parade festival. To see it click here.

Southern France landscape painting trip. With Marlies on a driving vacation out of Amsterdam.To the Langedouc region near Carcasonne and Montpelier. We found a lovely farm to camp at.
